University Introduction

RMIT University is located in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is a comprehensive public university and the only university in Australia awarded a royal title by the British royal family. Together with the University of Melbourne and Monash University, it is known as the "Big Three in Melbourne" and is one of the best higher education institutions in Melbourne. According to the 2024 QS World University Rankings, RMIT ranks 11th in Australia and 140th globally.

 

RMIT has three campuses. The main campus is located in the center of Melbourne. The Bundoora campus mainly provides health science and engineering courses, and the Brunswick campus focuses on design. In addition, RMIT has international campuses and exchange centers in Vietnam and Spain. The school's School of Engineering is the largest in Australia, providing an excellent teaching and learning environment and enjoying a high reputation in the fields of engineering, business and design.

 

RMIT performed well in the QS World University Rankings in 2024. Its Arts and Design program ranked 18th globally and 1st in Australia. The Architecture and Built Environment program also ranked 18th globally and 1st in Australia. Additionally, its Communication and Media program ranked 45th globally and 4th in Australia.

  • Design : The college offers a variety of courses including graphic design, industrial design and interior design, focusing on the combination of creativity and practice.

  • Aerospace : Develop talents with aircraft design, manufacturing and maintenance skills. Students will study courses in flight dynamics, aerostructures and aerospace systems, and have the opportunity to participate in practical projects and internships.

  • Automotive : Focus on automotive design and technological innovation. Students will receive education in automotive power systems, vehicle design and manufacturing technology, and contribute to the development of the automotive industry.

  • Environment and Infrastructure : Offers a comprehensive range of environmental science and engineering courses covering areas such as sustainable development, environmental management and urban planning. The school's infrastructure construction major focuses on practice, and students will study courses such as civil engineering, structural engineering and project management.

  • Clothing and Textiles : Students will study courses in fashion design, textile technology and apparel merchandising, and have the opportunity to participate in international fashion shows and internships.

  • Education : Provides a variety of courses such as early childhood education, primary education and secondary education. The school focuses on practical teaching, and students will gain rich teaching experience during internships.

  • IT : Majors cover software development, network security, data analysis and other fields. Students will learn the latest IT technologies and applications to prepare for future career development.

  • Media : This major offers courses in journalism, digital media and communication, focusing on the combination of theory and practice.

  • Health and community services : majors cover nursing, psychology, social work and other fields. Students will receive professional training and internships to provide high-quality health and community services to society.
