III. Queensland Skilled Occupation List 2025/2026

If you want to apply for Queensland state nomination, the first step is to confirm whether your occupation is listed on the state government’s official skilled occupation lists.

These lists apply to the Subclass 190 Skilled Nominated (Permanent) visa and the Subclass 491 Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa.

Within the lists, you’ll also find certain building and construction occupations—such as Construction Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Carpenter, and Plumber—marked under the “Building & Construction Pathway.” This highlights Queensland’s strong demand for infrastructure and construction talent. Applicants in these roles have a higher priority and greater chance of receiving an invitation, making it a highly advantageous pathway for professionals planning a career in construction, engineering, or related trades in Queensland.
