School Profile

The University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) is located on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. The Sunshine Sea boasts pleasant weather all year, as well as numerous beaches, national parks, and woods. It is an excellent location with a beautiful natural setting. USC is about a ten-minute drive from popular beaches and commercial districts. Despite its secluded location, it is only an hour's drive from the popular city of Brisbane. In addition, USC has consistently been ranked as the safest campus in international student polls.

USC has three major colleges: social and humanities, business and science, and health and education, and uses small class sizes. Its teaching equipment and learning resource ratio is the highest among national universities. The Departments of Nursing, Social Work, and Education are the most popular at USC. The school also features a language center that offers a wide range of English courses, including general English, academic English, tourism English, and IETLS preparatory courses. Furthermore, the degree's flexible course structure allows students to take courses from a variety of subjects and departments. At the same time, the MBA courses adopt distance teaching, allowing students at home and abroad to study online. In terms of welfare for international students, the school provides students with free Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) .

Admission standards for the USC Nursing Department are comparatively relaxed for those wishing to study nursing in Australia. Students with non-undergraduate backgrounds can enroll in the two-year Bachelor of Nursing - Graduate Entry program, which begins in July of each year. Each year , USC's Bachelor of Nursing program has two openings (February and July). In contrast to most other Australian university nursing departments, which only open once a year in February, students will have additional admission period options; if you miss admission in February, you will not have to wait another year. Students who graduate with IELTS scores of 7.0 in each subject can apply to the Nurses Association (AHPRA) to become registered nurses.
